ControllerSensor¶
An abstract base class for SensorBase types that supply sensory data to a character controller.
Not implemented yet
This class exists in the current Roblox API but is not implemented in Nova yet. Scripts that reference it will fail at runtime.
Description¶
ControllerSensor is an abstract base class for SensorBase types whose output is intended to be consumed by a physics-based character controller such as a ControllerManager. A ControllerManager reads its ControllerManager.GroundSensor and ControllerManager.ClimbSensor, both of which are ControllerSensors, to determine how its ControllerManager.RootPart interacts with the world.
ControllerSensor adds no members of its own; it groups the concrete sensor types that provide controller-relevant data, such as ControllerPartSensor, which detects floors and ladders using the same logic as a Humanoid. Because it is abstract, you don't create a ControllerSensor directly; use one of its subclasses instead.
Inheritance¶
